Altered Beast
So--This site has risen from the grave a bit.
I just installed Movable Type 4, and it took me far longer than it reasonably should have. After way too many file altercations and trying to work off of three separate install guides, I finally tracked down a site that did have a guide suited specifically to this version and for our specific server host.
Not that that worked.
Actually, it did. But I had to change around some file permissions that it failed to mention, and a few of the screens were different than what it showed. But, it was still fairly idiot-proof and I was not terribly quick to pick up on it. So far everything looks very decent and pretty simple. I'm going to try to customize the look a little bit better over the next few days, possibly with a major overhaul in a few weeks time to test out my cousin Mike's preference of using Photoshop for website presentation.
