I want a damn sandwich.
Ever try to buy a sandwich for a vegetarian? Probably not. They don't make them. I understand I can go to subway and get a fast food veggie sub, but that's not what I'm shooting for here. I kind of neglected to eat anything yesterday save a piece of bread and this morning when I woke up all I wanted was some lettuce and tomatoes and other shit, encased by decent bread that I probably really don't like that much and would never seek out outside of this package deal. No go. Instead I bought wonder bread and cheese slices. Phenomenal.
The only meat it turns out I'm alright with is some seafood stuff. Which is weird because outside of shrimp I never really liked any seafood stuff when I did eat meat. But fish is cool, sushi is cool, crab is fine. Hmm. Mal & Co. are claiming to be making a sushi trip today after specifically flaunting the idea in front of me. I don't think it'll happen, because they seem pretty damn lazy, but I know how Mal sure does like her eatin'. The prospect of food would be the one thing I can imagine giving her the drive to make the trip down south. My guess is if it happens they'll wuss out and go to Izumi's. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm still just bitter that Sushi is being consumed without me. Especially when it would provide me an opportunity to grab a few bottles of Kirin Ichiban. And especially when the trip is dangled in front of my face when I have to work 14 hours. It's like that trick with a string and a twenty dollar bill. Or, more accurately, a string attached to a sandwich; flopped in front of a homeless man.
But definitely not a damn vegetarian sandwich.
On a side note I was fairly intelligent last night and kept myself to two beers while at a party. Of course by the 4th or 5th time I was ditched off by myself in the corner to alternate between pretending to read the cliff notes on the latest Toni Braxton song (or whatever it was that was playing on the digital cable music station) or trying to pretend there was no guy-on-guy action going on off to the side I realized it wasn't a terribly good party and took off. I even actually got some of that sleep I've been hearing so much about. Although it was lame emoish sleep, courtesy Bright Eyes. Eh. At least Adam's party tonight should be a good time, save the jaunt to Hales Corner.
Time to go throw a cheese slice on a piece of bread. Because that's how I play it. And I wanted to find a keyword to link this to but nothing seems to be applicable.
