I was considering doing a post about Saturday night in first-person narrative before I realized that's what I do already. I did, in fact, start catalogueing a lot of the night in fictional-form 1st-person, present-tense, to have material to collectively draw from later on. This is actually something I've started to do recently with a lot of things so that I can have a pool of little vignettes to expound upon for nefarious purposes. Currently this nefarious purpose would be a "it-might-as-well-be-nonfiction" story surrounding an English Major neglecting his classes. This consists solely of the thought process in his head as he stumbles around from social scene to social scene. I'm not quite sure how well it can work without any real dialogue and it's difficult to try to differentiate what's actually happening from what he thinks about what's happening but we'll see.

Aside Saturday night was an MIAD halloween party down in the Third Ward...

It was interesting- everyone there was a douchebag. Not really, actually, the Layers of Pretension I was expecting to encounter were minimal and probably emanating more from myself than anyone. I bumped into a guy who totally was a clone of Dan Jeffers dressed as Minnie Mouse outside of the place I was trying to find. Brief costume comparison and conversation revealed he was headed to the same party as me so I had an easy guide to follow through what was a maze to me. I ended up driving everyone to Water st, which was interesting considering there were like 9 of us and we were all in costume. I, the "Pretentious Film Student [in widescreen]" (tough costume for me to pull off) was driving, Tyler Durden was in the passenger seat, and spread between the two back seats was Cloud Strife, a Bee, two Pixie girls, a Foot Soldier Ninja, aforementioned Minnie Mouse, a Cowboy and a Cactus. Filing out of the van was awesome. Terrace was still an awful bar but kind of interesting full of costumed people. Buffalo's Wild Wings is a terrible place. At some point we made our way to North and I waited like 20 minutes to get into Cans. Fucking Cans.

Lot of good costumes, lot of strange setups. Seeing the two hot girls making out in Cans, one dressed as Alice from Wonderland and one dressed as a Girl Scout- awkward. Hot awkward.

Too lazy to write more. Book good. Movie. Other stuff.
